O is for Orange

Not only is it Blogging A-Z month, it is also National Poetry Month. So what better to share today than a poem about orange which has no rhyming words.*

*Technically there is one word that rhymes with orange: sporange which is a botanical term for part of a fern.

    1. Oranges seems like a good topic for FL. I'll hop on over and see what you have to say.

  2. What an original approach to your theme. I had never occurred to me that there was no word to rhyme with orange.

    1. It seems strange that such a common word does not have a rhyming partner, but it's true.

  3. I find it strange
    that the word orange
    doesn't rhyme with range
    or with mange

    1. There is a very cute picture book, "Nothing Rhymes with Orange" where the orange is jealous of all of the other fruits who have words that rhyme with them. A variation on the loneliness theme.
