We recently took a family trip to Maine, and I am chronicling our travels here. Today's post gives highlights of our trip home.
Our original plan was to zip home in one day, but the trip up told us we would be happier spreading it out over two days. We were glad that we had built that contingency into our plans.
After taking various family pictures, we were on our way by 8 am.

| After lunch in Hartford, CT, our next stop was in the Delaware Water Gap. |

| We took a trail to the top and the bottom of the Raymondskill Falls. These falls are the tallest in Pennsylvania, tumbling over 150'. |

| Before we found our hotel for the evening, we stopped at Grey Towers in Milford, PA. |
 |
| Grey Towers was the home of Gifford Pinchot, the first chief of the US Forest Service and twice governor of Pennsylvania. There were nice paths throughout the estate, which made for a pleasant afternoon hike. |
We had takeout from a local restaurant before retiring to the hotel for the night. Three out of the four of us had colds by now, so we were happy to retreat and cough in peace.

| We enjoyed wandering around the nature center. |
Then it was the final push for home. We finished the book we were listening to with less than an hour left of the trip.
And while we had a good time, there's no place like home.
