The birds have been very busy this week, so this is going to be a bird only Second Look. The plants will have to wait.
Here are somethings I saw this week
during a Second Look.

| We had a lot of rain this week, but the birds came out anyway. You can see this female cardinal looks a little wet. |

It may have rained a lot this week, but the real event was a visit from a pileated woodpecker.
One reason for the excitement was that these are big birds. I'm guessing that this one is about 15"-20" long.
