  1. Wow, great picture of the moon! Those are hard to get. I managed to get a neat one last summer of a full mood over a mesa in the southwest but I still had to do some editing.

Your flowers and flowering shrubs/trees are in full flower. How nice! We are in the "yellow" mode--lots of daffodils and forsythia. And a few dandelions. A few of the early tulips are out. I can enjoy spring twice--once through your pictures and then again when it gets to our area.

    1. With the lack of a fancy camera, I have figured out that the best way to get a picture of the moon is to do it at dusk, not night. At night, there's just not enough light for me to get much more than a blur. I wonder if the low humidity out west might also help?

I have a few daffodils but most of our yellow phase is now leafed out and green. However, it seems like every time I turn around another tree is blooming. Quite a sight to see.

As for dandelions, my father-in-law can't get out to get flowers for his flower boxes because of the quarantine, so he dug dandelions up out of his yard and planted them in boxes on his deck. He said that they are pretty and hard to kill. I love this man's spirit and pragmatisim.

    2. Love the dandelion story! My husband has been eating dandelion greens. I really don't care for them and told him food shortages aren't bad enough yet for me to go down that path. ;)

I love field of dandelions--the yellow and green colors are so striking together. I know that' not very, hmm, what's the word, suburban of me? But there it is. I grew up in the country and while dad kept the yard neatly mowed, having lush weedless grass wasn't really a focus. I seem to have carried that into my adult life even though my family lives in suburbia.

I got my moon picture last summer shortly before dawn when it was getting lighter out but the sun wasn't yet up--probably similar lighting conditions to what you had, although you're right, the air there was very low humidity.

    3. I have always thought that dandelions were pretty and wondered why they got such a bad name. I'll have to admit that I try to get them out of my suburban lawn, though. I've become one of them. :O

  2. Lovely photos! The colors of spring are beautiful! I like how you've photographed the flowering branches against the landscape. I, too, admire your father-in-law's spirit! I am sure the dandelions will grow very well where he has planted them! Why not?

    1. I had to look up the wallflower. Last year, I planted a couple of packs of random wildflower seeds and I don't remember seeing that one. I think it was too late for it to bloom. However, it was fun surprise this year.

    1. Those were taking over one flower bed and I tried to dig up all of them except the ones along the border. However, instead of eliminating the hyacinths, it was more like giving them a good thinning. They have come up everywhere looking really healthy. If they weren't so pretty, I'd be mad at them. :)
