When things get hectic, there's nothing like a purring cat on your lap to slow everything down. I am thankful that I have four of them so there is always one available for a little calmness when I need it.
I actually also really like older dogs for that reason... and I'm glad you're getting a a bit of calm.
ReplyDeleteThere have been many studies that confirmed what most of us already know--pets are good for you. I have been moving slowly today because I have some kind of respiratory virus. Actually, I would have been surprised if I hadn't gotten sick after the week I had. My body is telling me to rest and I'm obeying. I'm glad tomorrow is a holiday from work.
DeleteAww! Your babies are adorable! We have a lap cat, too, and there is something so soothing about having him on my lap (except when I'm knitting ... ). Sorry you are under the weather. Get some rest.
ReplyDeleteIn the past I have discovered that knitting and cats don't always combine well. As well as jigsaw puzzles and cats. And reading the paper and cats, etc. But yet we put up with most of it because they are so darn cute and soothing at other times.
DeleteMy husband and son went ice fishing yesterday. My husband was cleaning his catch in the basement and our cat was sooooooooo interested in what he was doing! I had to pick him up and move him a couple of times. He makes us laugh.
