Spring weather is definitely here. And what would spring be on my blog if I didn't whip out Theo's spring poem he wrote in elementary school? So, without further ado, take it away, young Theo.
The last of winter fades away
Icicles shed their tears
Borne upon a sunlit era
Life awakens once again
In this never ending cycle
Trees grow green, grass is showing
Robins and bluebirds appear
New plants sprout, old ones awaken
New infants to all animals
A time of plenty
Rejoice! For it is Spring!
What a sweet poem. Our robins were shivering in the snow earlier this week.
ReplyDeleteWe've been seeing robins for a week or two now. Fortunately, they were not shivering in the snow --just trying not to be swept away by the winds.
DeleteThat's a great poem for spring! I especially like the line about icicles shedding tears.
ReplyDeleteI like that line, too. This poem is like hanging ornaments on the Christmas tree that the kids made when they were younger --lot's of nostalgia involved.
DeleteVery evocative of the season!
ReplyDeleteSpring is a glorious time when everything is awakening. I missed that when we lived in Texas and Louisiana. There were seasons, but nearly as dramatic as in the colder areas.
