  1. Do your deer nibble at your daylilies? They are beautiful animals but can be devastating to your landscaping.

We are getting crocuses up. Our first day of spring is pretty darn chilly so it doesn't seem springlike here. However, I changed out from my winter wreath to my spring wreath earlier this week and I think I did it just in time, as I spotted 2 birds flying away from my wreath yesterday! Some years they start the nesting process early!

    1. Yep, pretty sure that it was deer chewing on the daylilies. We have not reached the numbers or amount of landscape destruction here that we had in the old house, but they are definitely around.

We had a warm day yesterday and today. I have been outside working even though it was sprinkling most of the time. It's very freeing to just enjoy digging and not worry about getting muddy.

Enjoy your crocus. There will be more to come.

    1. We are seeing more birds, hearing more singing and mating going on. The birds definitely know it's spring. :)

    1. I certainly find the out-of-doors distracting, especially this time of year. I hope you did to for a little bit.

    1. I see that you've had some at your house, also. It's always great when we start seeing the bright flowers emerge in spring.

    1. It has dark purplish leaves which makes it an especially pretty tree in the summer, too. I am happy that someone planted it years ago.

  6. You are having a pretty spring. We are a few weeks ahead of you and now the dogwoods and azaleas are in full bloom.

    1. A mild, wet winter has brought an early, beautiful spring. Although, we may get a little snow this weekend. I have a cousin who lives in Atlanta, who posts pictures of her yard often and I can see how far ahead of us they are. I imagine you are similar.
