I love lazy Saturday mornings. Nathalie is right--it does put me in mind of a haiku (one of the forms of poetry I enjoy--maybe because they are short and I have limited attention span for poetry!). I hope you are enjoying a relaxed day.
Once I centered the lines instead of having them left justified, it looked more like a poem. I just got back from doing errands, so it hasn't been a morning of doing nothing, but it's been a morning of getting done what needed to be done, so we can spend the afternoon doing what we want like working in the yard or in the shop (Ward's choice.)
You definitely wrote a poem! An ode to Saturday morning! :) Good of you to have done what needed to be done, so you could spend the afternoon doing what you like! I hope you have a lovely weekend.
Since anything goes in poetry, I guess the extra word in the last line was okay. However, I removed it and it reads better now. When I don't have time to walk away from a post and come back later to reread it, there are always mistakes.
Beautiful sunrise photo! I'm playing catch up. We didn't sleep in like usual this past Saturday, we got up and headed to the mountains. It was a gorgeous day and we discovered many others had the same idea but we managed to get to take in a little trek to see the views from Mt. Mitchell on the Blue Ridge Parkway and then from Clingmans Dome in the Smoky's. We were even fortunate to see female elk grassing in the fields in Cherokee near the Smoky's Visitor Center. I'm glad we got to get away! Thanks for visiting!!
You wrote a poem! It's almost a haiku. The picture is beautiful, did you really take it this morning? Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteI took it recently, but not this morning. But it was a grey sunrise.

ReplyDeleteI can make a rhyme any old time. :)

The Blue Ridge and Smokey Mountains are beautiful. I'm glad you got out to see them. I have never seen a female elk in the wild. Now I'm jealous.
