Love your pics...I've been doing some of the same apart from this year I've not done the homemade gift thing and after last year's runny fudge I've given that a miss too. Maybe next year!
Fudge is really tricky, isn't it? I tried a new recipe for peanut butter fudge this year that doesn't involve cooking. It tastes good and seems to have an okay consistency. I'm waiting to see if it hardens up a little in the fridge.
I smiled at your picture of the cat on the tree skirt. Ours loves to sleep there. Unfortunately, in my great wisdom (?), I picked out a white tree skirt and our cat is NOT white ...
Our tree skirt never stays in place as the cats play and sleep on it all of the time. It has so much fur on it, I'm not even sure what color it is any more.
I like the orange slice ornaments too. However, for such a simple idea, they took me a lot of trial and error and time. It could be that it was just me.
Hi live and learn, You've been busy! No homemade fudge here. I've wanted to make pumpkin fudge for years, but have never gotten around to it. Oh well, maybe next year.
I've been doing the last little bits of work on the homemade gifts, and am baking today. I was looking around my house this morning and seeing just how much I've let housekeeping slide this month. I'm actually looking forward to getting the house set back into order in January.
We still have most of our living room furniture in our dining room from the construction. I'm with you. I'm looking forward to having my house back in order. Merry Christmas to your family also.
I have been finishing up the final touches on a couple of gifts, cleaning the house and adding a few decorative touches, took a walk in the rain today and finding time to curl up with a book now and then. Have a great Christmas, you tree is lovely.
