When I look back over our pictures, I realize that at some point in time, we started taking fewer pictures of Wally and Theodore and started taking more pictures of the cats. I think it started when we got twice as many cats as we have kids. What do you think? Does that make us bad parents or good pet owners? : )

I think cats make very good subjects for photography. They do some awfully cute things!
ReplyDeleteThey do do a lot of cute things, but I'm not very good at capturing those on camera. By the time I've found it, they've moved onto something else. However, I do have a lot of pictures of them sleeping.
DeleteI took a lot of pictures of my first child, but by the time I had my second life was crazy and money tight and I stopped taking pictures. Today, having a camera built into my phone and being able to upload them to the computer, meaning free, I am taking many more pictures of the grand children. Doesn't make us bad parents, and the important memories my now adult children remember without the pictures to remind them.
ReplyDeleteYour comment about your children remembering the important things without pictures to remind them reminded me of something. One of my kids does not think in pictures. When he remembers something or reads for that matter, he doesn't form a picture in his mind, he forms sounds and smells. It is a foreign concept to me because I totally think in pictures, but he swears that is how it works for him.
DeleteI love love love the cat pictures and they are all super-cute :) I grew up with cats but am unable to have one at the moment due to renting. So keep posting photos of yours, so I can fawn over them :)
ReplyDeleteI hope you get your job at the cat shelter. I have a friend whose job it is to play with cats waiting for adoption. She loves it.
DeleteAwww..... you have cute kittys! I use my phone for taking pictures of everything and everybody. I have to remember to upload them to the computer so I can print them off at Walgreens. Actually, I can do that from my phone,I just forget to.
ReplyDeleteMy phone is a very inexpensive model and it takes blurry pictures. So for now, I use a camera. Maybe someday I will upgrade and I will only have one thing to carry with me. They say that soon cameras will be a thing of the past as everyone will be using the camera with their phone. I'm not sure about that one.
