Thankful Sunday--August 9, 2020

 I am thankful for insects.

According to National Geographic, there are 1.4 billion insects for each one us and we couldn't survive without them. So for insects big and small and parts they play in nature from everything from pollination to decay, I am thankful.

Here are a few of them that I've seen recently.

  1. Those are great pictures! I got a picture of a thistle with a bee on it and I thought of you and how you always manage to get good photos like that.

    1. I only get a good picture if the bug holds still. I was visiting a sunflower field over the weekend with lots of dragonflies. Boy, are those things fast. I didn't get a picture of any of them.

    1. Thank you. I usually take a few of an insect if I'm going to try to identify it later. Sometimes, I get a good one. I'm very happy with the green-eyed fly/wasp. Still working on that one's ID.
