I'm thankful for your blog. I love to hear what you are thinking about, and looking at your photos, and reading your recipes, even the Food Waste Friday entries. I'm pretty much shut in at the moment and your blog makes me feel a little more connected to family.
I know writing a blog is an ongoing commitment. I just wanted to let you know that I enjoy reading it.
It is also known as gorp and scroggin. It used to be used mainly as a hiking food because it was easy to carry and provided necessary energy. Recipes vary, but it usually includes nuts, dried fruit, and pretzels or cereal. It is a favorite snack around here whether or not we are hiking.
Haha, when I was in school and we went on school camp, you weren't allowed to bring chocolate and lollies - except in scroggin (trail mix). Needless to say, mine was pretty chocolate-heavy!
