Here it goes for this week.
This was the week for molded bread. First, we had some Irish soda bread that my son bought for St. Patrick's day on a whim. We all liked the taste well enough, but didn't like how crumbly it was. Thus it just sat on the counter until it molded. I probably could have found another way to use it, but I was unmotivated because of a migraine. Next, we had some buns that didn't get used up in the meal they were intended for. They weren't on the counter very long, but a couple of rainy days made things damper than usual inside. They also molded. How did you do?
We did about as well. I'll tell ya, leftover white breads never make it in this house - the urge to make cinnamon toast is just tooooo great!
ReplyDeleteThe soda bread was too crumbly to go into the toaster, but I love cinnamon toast also. That's one of my favorite bedtime snacks.
DeleteA little bread isn't too bad. And I totally get when something (like a migraine) just puts a hiccup in your plans. It can really mess things up.
ReplyDeleteYeah, I'm not so nearly enthusiastic about things when I don't feel well.
DeleteOooo, this certainly is migraine season. I would give anything for a little lie down right now.
ReplyDeleteLaying down only makes my head feel worse. But then the rest of me wants to lay down--a dilemma.
DeleteWow, you did really well! Bread doesn't last long in our house because we make a lot of sandwiches. Here in Ohio the weather has been 80 degrees one day and 55 degrees the next and its wreaking havoc on everyone's sinuses!
ReplyDeleteYeah, the variable weather along with allergies has most everyone miserable here also.
