    1. The little white daffodils are new this year. I got them for a friend a couple of years ago and this was the first time they bloomed. I wasn't sure what they would look like, but I really like them.

  2. Wow. I love your backyard paradise. I'm trying to grow my own little spring indoors. So far not working out.

    1. You will figure out what does well indoors and have your own indoor paradise soon enough. I have cats that like to eat every plant, so that limits what I can do inside. For that reason, I am especially grateful for my outdoor space.

  3. It's so interesting to see what flowers bloom at different times in different geographical areas. This is the time of year when I'm jealous of people to the south of me. Your yard is so pretty!

We had warm weather over the weekend (and rain). The grass greened up and the forsythia popped so we are in what I think of as the yellow/green early phase of spring. Along one of our town's main thoroughfares, daffodils have been planted, and they add so much cheer to my drive.

    1. My father-in-law lives about 60 miles south of us and is usually about 2 weeks ahead of us in spring blooms. I'm always amazed when we visit to see what his yard looks like compared to ours. It doesn't seem that far, but I guess it is for the plants.

We have daffodils planted along the roads here also, and they are such wonderful things to see as you come out of winter. Most of the daffodils are done here. The ones you see in my yard are in shadier areas and are later than most.

  4. So many pretty flowers blooming!! Such a joy to see them! We don't have much blooming here in our backyard since it is mostly rock landscape, but we do have some wildflowers in other people's yards that are colorful! Spring is lovely where you live!

    1. I love the beauty of the rock landscapes in your area, but my eyes long for green after being there for a few days. I guess that's because that's what they always known.

  5. The birds are certainly singing their hearts out this time of year. Another treat to go with the blooming colors.
Moondustwriter, my security software has not let me visit your site until today when I saw the installments of your story about Ukraine. I will have to go back and catch up.

    1. Daffodils are a favorite of mine. One, because they are pretty and two, because the deer leave them alone.

    1. You're welcome, Bless. I always enjoy when you show flowers from your garden-especially because you can grow some different things than we can here with your warmer climate.
