Is that sunflower in your yard? Ours are coming up but aren't ready to blossom anytime soon. We, too, have been grateful for the sun, especially after an unusually cold and damp spring.
The sunflower is in my yard and was planted by the birds with seeds from the feeder. A couple more have bloomed on the plant since I took the picture and something has already started to eat the forming seeds from this one.
It did take things a while to warm up there, didn't it? I hope you continue to have sunny days. We are in the hot and muggy weather with a thunder storm most days.

I love sunflowers. Thanks for that.
ReplyDeleteMe, too. My grandmother always grew them for the birds in the winter. I don't know how she kept the birds from eating them in the summer.
DeleteI am thankful for the sun and the rain and the heat and the cooler weather. I have a bouquet of sunflowers on my breakfast room table right now!
ReplyDeleteI think you about have it covered. I think you are thankful for weather and its changes. :)
DeleteDefinitely thankful for the sun, for without it, life on earth will be very different!
ReplyDeleteIt's hard to tell what it would be like if life here weren't based on the sun or even if we would have life at all without the sun.
DeleteThey spread so quickly, too, it’s amazing.
