I am thankful for my family.
My family, both extended and immediate, have priority over everything else in my life. I am lucky that I have a supportive and loving family because I know this isn't always the case. (Actually, you don't have to look very far in my extended family to see this.)
So what brought all of this to mind is that both of my sons are here today visiting. These days that doesn't happen very often. So for family and their visits, I am thankful.
Hope you have a wonderful day with your family. And thanks so much for the tip on "breaking in" the pillow - I spent the day sitting on and otherwise squashing it yesterday, and while it's still not perfect, I was able to get some reasonable sleep last night.
ReplyDeleteLet's hear it for reasonable sleep. That's certainly something to be thankful for. I hope your pillow continues to improve.
DeleteI so agree. I hope your day is filled with fun and laughter! I am not wishing time away, but during Thanksgiving my family, immediate and extended will all be together and I am looking forward to it.
ReplyDeleteI don't think anticipating a happy family event is wishing time away. :)
DeleteWe recently went to my husband's cousin's wedding and saw much of his immediate and extended family. I'm so glad I married into a family that I enjoy spending time with. Those of us fortunate enough to have strong family ties are blessed.
I, too, am lucky to have married into a family that I enjoy spending time with. I am especially happy that my kids see strong family ties on both sides.
DeleteAnne, with one of your son's living across the country, it will indeed be a special Thanksgiving. However, you're gonna have to wait. I have too much to do for it to be November already. :)
DeleteI agree about having to wait! I am filled with things that have to be done between now and then!
DeleteI hope you are enjoying your sons' visit!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Nathalie. BTW, how do you say your name?
DeleteIt's pronounced "Natalie". There is no "th" sounds in French and the "h" is always silent.
DeleteOkay, that was one possibility. Thanks.
DeleteI'm happy for you. Enjoy their visit to the max!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Strayer. Their visit was short and busy with somethings we had to get done, but it was good nonetheless.
DeleteI am glad you had time with both sons! The picture is so adorable.
ReplyDeleteLike most toddlers, they were cute. Wild, but cute. Thanks.
