The squirrels are very active with a lot of scampering about often with a walnut in their mouth. I saw a squirrel burying a nut one day, but when I checked later it was gone. I'm not sure if he decided that wasn't a good spot or someone watching in the wings had a good snack.
Mushrooms and other kinds of fungus popping up here and there. That probably has something to do with the abundant rain we've been having recently.
Here are a few things I saw this week
during a Second Look.
The squirrel is working hard in your picture. :) Love your pansies. We also have had very little snow this season--I'm tired of brown but on the other hand, it is sooo nice not to have to travel on slippery roads. Or shovel snow. I'm ready to see the sun, though.
ReplyDeleteBrown is not my favorite, but I do enjoy the silhouette of the trees this time of year. Here's hoping that neither one of us has to travel on slippery roads this year. We can wish, can't we?
DeleteI love pansies and I forget to plant them every year until it is too late. I think it is because they need to be planted when I am my busiest and it is just not at the top of my to-do list. Lovely pictures as usual!
ReplyDeleteI don't always get them in either, but I'm always happy when I do.
DeleteThere doesn't seem to be anything alive here aside from the evergreens so it's nice to see splashes of color visiting you.
ReplyDeleteAs most of the nature color is gone, it's time to enjoy the color of the season from the lights and other decorations.
