What would any spring be without a variety of weather? We had four more inches of snow. |
We saw more birds on the feeder during the snow including another visit from this female pileated woodpecker. |
As soon as the pileated flew away, this red-bellied woodpecker swooped in for a snack. |
As usual, the squirrels were around getting their share. But notice, new daffodils are poking up also. |
There was one lone crocus that was trying to bloom during the snow. |
But the snow melted quickly (because it's Spring), and three more crocuses have bloomed. |
Including this little crocus that was planted in the middle of the yard by a squirrel. |
And what could symbolize Spring more than a robin? |
Birds and flowers are definitely the most obvious signs of the change of season for us, as well. I had to change out my winter wreath to my spring/summer wreath because the finches looked like they were getting ready to build a nest on the winter one!
ReplyDeleteYou've reminded me that I have an Easter wreath to put up. It really is time for it.
DeleteWe've hit a few 70 degree days. The trees are blooming, the clover is growing, dandelions and daffodils are popping up, and allergies are acting up -- so spring is definitely in the air.
ReplyDeleteSounds beautiful, however I'm not looking forward to the pollen.
DeleteI know saying your pictures are lovely each "Second Look" must seem trite, but they really are beautiful photos! It is so warm and flowery here now that the snow seems nearly impossible.
ReplyDeleteTrite or not, I don't mind if you keep saying it. :)
