We are thankful for new gloves.
Ward cleaned the gutters and put up some of our Christmas lights this weekend. He got new gloves for the job and is very thankful that his hands stayed drier and warmer than they ever have before. And of course, I am very thankful that Ward does this job for us.
When we had to replace our roof a few years ago, we opted to pay extra for covered gutters--and I'm thankful for those! NOT cheap, but oh so helpful. My hubby cleaned out my parent's gutters a couple of weeks ago and I'm sure he would have liked those gloves. Where did you get them and what brand are they?
ReplyDeleteOn a related note, I knitted my first pair of mittens this past week! 2-needle style ... I'm not fond of DPNs and I always feel like I should be doing acupuncture with them, not knitting ...
The gloves are Wells Lamont Cold Weather grips. They were an impulse by at Costco, but one we are very happy about. Because we bought them at Costco, we had to buy a four pair pack. Some of them are going to be given as Christmas presents. I can't find the receipt right now, but I think they were about $3/pair.
DeleteI have used double knitting needles only a couple of times and I got kind of confused. However, I am not a very advanced knitter. I taught myself when I was a kid and I taught myself left-handed like I am. There are very few instructions for left handed knitters and most right handed knitters can't help me because it's too confusing. Therefore, my projects tend to be pretty simple.
A husband doing chores is worth all the new gloves in the world :)
ReplyDeleteThey are well worth their cost. If my husband ever decides that he doesn't want to go on the roof anymore, it will be a job that we will have to hire out because I'm afraid of heights.
