Thankful Sunday--January 26, 2014

I am thankful for warmer temperatures.

After several days of single digit temperatures along with snow and ice, we warmed up to freezing yesterday.  With the record breaking cold temperatures we have been having along with most of the rest of the US, this was a welcome change. For this I am thankful.

  1. We are looking forward to warmer temperatures at the end of this week. Monday and Tuesday we are supposed to have the "coldest air of the season thus far". Right now I'm thankful for electricity, flannel sheets, slippers, sweaters ...

  2. I'm feeling guilty. It was in the 60's yesterday and CatMan and I went for a 30 mile bike ride. Show and cold is supposed to arrive tonight though, so I guess we'll get our turn. Stay warm!

    1. Nahhh. Nothing to feel guilty about. We all get bad weather in our lives, literally and figuratively, sooner or later. Enjoy your burst of good weather and fill up on sunshine for me.

    2. You get enough of the cold and snowy weather yourself, so enjoy the nice weather while you can. I'm very happy that you were able to get out with Catman for a bike ride. Like Kris said, we will live vicariously through you for now.

    3. I cycled 1 mile up the road to the hairdressers today and 1 mile back...I got absolutely drenched and lost the feeling in my fingers both ways! At least there was no need for the hairdresser to dry my hair as that would have been a pointless exercise :-)

    4. That sounds like a miserable ride. Riding in the rain/ice/snow is not a very good way to save money for a hairdresser. Next time, I would try something different. :)

    1. I don't think it's going to last long. Another blast of the Polar Vortex is blasting through tomorrow.

  4. I can't wait until I can say the same. Enjoy it and I hope it lasts a while for you.

    1. It's not going to last, but it was nice for a day. Hope your heat holds out in the winter cold that you have.
