Spring is here and it's time for new beginnings--both in a BIG way and in a small way. The daffodil blooms have followed the crocus blooms to signal a new beginning on the earth. This is the BIG new beginning that holds such promise this time of year. Also, I have cleaned out the refrigerator, gone through the mail, and gotten ready for work tomorrow after being away for a while. This is the small new beginning that holds the promise of a return to a routine, "normal" life. I am really looking forward to both of these new beginnings.
Also, here of some ponderings from Theodore about Spring from his early years.
Signs of Spring
Icicles shed tears.
Trees grow green.
New plants sprout.
Old ones awaken.
Borne upon a sunlit era.
Life awakens once again
In this never ending cycle.
Rejoice!
For it is Spring!
Yay for daffodils and spring :) I'm still thinking of you guys.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely yea for spring. We are supposed to have warm weather all week. Has your weather cooled off any yet with the approach of fall?
DeleteRejoice, indeed! Unfortunately, here it'll be in the 60's today but we have an approaching storm. Tomorrow's weather: high in 20's and 8-12 inches of snow!
ReplyDeleteI've heard them talking about your coming weather on the news. I hope it turns out not to be as bad as predicted. In the meantime, enjoy the beauty of the snow. (What choice do you have. :)
DeleteI am just curious, but what is/was Theodore's field of study?
ReplyDeleteThis time of year, there seems to be something new to look forward to each week. I hope you find new-ness around every corner!
Sharon, oh no! I thought winter would have been done by now!
What is Theo studying? Now that's an interesting question. He was studying financial economics, but decided he didn't like the kind of work he would be doing with that field. Now he is studying to become a horologist (clock maker). Kids are always full of surprises no matter what age they are.
DeleteI think spring may finally be here as well.
ReplyDeleteI hope so. Has all of the ice on the lake melted yet?
