Today, I'm going to try not to be irritable and prickly.
Some days when I wake up, I feel prickly like this honey locust. I have to remember that my mood is my choice and I have to work on changing it. A walk outdoors is always a good start for me.
Good morning! When I first opened your post, all I saw on the screen was that tree, and my thought was, "ouch, what is that thing?!" Wouldn't want to tangle with that. Which is exactly what my family must feel when I wake up in a foul mood. Hope the morning walk brought joys to start your day!
ReplyDeleteI actually took that picture on a walk at Miss Lander's cabin. The walk was fun and picture reminds me of that. Right now it's cold and sleeting. However, it should clear up this afternoon for some good outdoor time.
DeleteI hope your day gets better. Some time alone usually works for me so I hope your walk helped you as well.
ReplyDeleteMost of the time, just a change in environment is enough to change my way of thinking. However, a little exercise along with nature is the perfect mood lifter for me.
DeleteI have also been working on making that choice this week.
ReplyDeleteI think it's a challenge we all face. I'm better at it than I use to be, but it helps if I give everyone around me a warning that I'm in a bad mood. That seems to help my mood oddly enough.
DeleteThanks for the visual! I'm going to think of your photo every time I feel "prickly". Hopefully, it will help me turn it around!
ReplyDeleteThis tree was pretty impressive especially since they don't grow where I live. It is a good visual and I'm going to try to remember it too.
