School Days is a Monday feature in which I ask people about their early memories of school. The stories come from oral interviews and I do as little editing as possible.Most people start out with, “I don't remember much,” and then the memories tumble out. For some, they remember their school building or their classroom. Others remember their teacher's name and how they got to school. However, most everyone remembers recess and a time that things didn't go so well.
I hope you find these stories interesting in both their similarities and differences and that they will spark a memory or two for you.
