Thankful Sunday--August 4, 2013

I am thankful that Lucy's head wasn't really caught between these two posts.

Cats don't usually get themselves into situations that they can't get out of. But you never know. Especially with Lucy. She had to twist her head a bit, but she was able to extract herself just fine.

  1. Cats can be as silly as children. Glad she wasn't really stuck.

    1. And our silly cats provide us with a lot of entertainment.

  2. The cat that lives upstairs spent all day Saturday "stuck" on the opposite side of the pond. He was too scared to walk around it in case he fell in. Very funny :)

  3. She's a very pretty kitty. Glad she was able to get herself out. My two get themselves into some pretty silly situations too.

    1. I'm sure that your two keep you amused. Our four do just that--especially their interactions with each other.

  4. Cats are smarter than humans, in some things. When my kids were little, we were at a theme park, standing in line for a ride. There was this iron railing and slatted fence. A little boy stuck his head between the bars and got stuck. They had to call first aid and then the paramedics to get him out. The poor little boy, he thought he would be stuck there for life. He sobbed and sobbed for about 30 minutes, until they could free him.

    1. Getting their head stuck in a fence sounds exactly like something that my kids would have done. Luckily, they never did.

  5. should have called the cat lucky... We had this goat, and he pulled his body through some metal post, (Trying to find something greener) past it rib cage and got stuck because the goats hips would not fit.... We had to use a grinder to cut the post.... Cats are way smarter than goats. Thats my thought for today.

    1. Lucy's brother is actually called Lucky because he got a door slammed on him as a kitten and he survived. Sounds like you had a time getting your goat loose. Glad you got him out.
