New Mexico Vacation, Day Seven--Home again

We're home again after a good week of exploring north central New Mexico. Today we went from desert browns to lush greens, both pleasing in their own way. Now to feed the demanding cats that act like Wally didn't feed them all week (or at least that's what they want me to believe). The laundry can wait until tomorrow.

  1. Welcome home! That color contrast is rather striking - oh what water can do!

    1. While we were gone, there was too much water here with widespread flooding. We don't flood except for water in the basement. I think it was caused by a combination of gutters that need cleaning and another animal burrow near the foundation. We're going to investigate today.

  2. I am just now catching up on the second half of your trip. You really packed a lot into your vacation.

I keep hearing about all the rain that your area has been receiving. I hope it didn't do any damage to your place.

    1. No damage here except to a musty/moldy smell in the basement where we got water several times while we were gone. We're hoping the dehumidifier does it's job. Where my mother lives the water was higher than it has been for the 50 years that she has lived there. Thankfully, she lives at the top of a hill and got no water. Many were not that lucky.
