Age: Middle--somewhere between old enough to know better and still have a few things to figure out.
Family: A hardworking, loving husband and two sons who have begun their own adventure out into the world.
Pets: Four cats-- Annie, Leo, Lucy, and Lucky who are in control more often than we'd like to admit.
My jobs: I've been a professional scientist in the corporate world and a stay at home mom. Currently, I work in a library.
Our house: We live in the “burbs” on a couple of acres that back up to a farm and woods. This gives us a variety of plants and animals to observe.
Why I blog: Although I try to have a positive outlook for most things, this is not what comes naturally to me. My natural tendency is to be thinking ahead usually with some anxiety This makes me a great planner, but not a relaxed person. With this blog, I am trying to take time to notice everyday things around me with both appreciation and curiosity. In other words, to be in the here and now and not in the future (or the past). If I can do this a little each day, I will have success.
I would love for you to come along for my ”Observations of Everyday Life.” Maybe you will appreciate more of the everyday things around you too.
