Well, we learned that that is not such a cut and dried thing. I know some people who have upgraded to a king size bed just to accommodate the animals (usually a big dog).

I think Shelby was using mind control to let you know that she knows you are writing about her and more importantly, you need to feed her.Live and Learnhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13493777474885053903noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6315851262843522940.post-65460676187471930702016-04-05T00:36:21.255-04:002016-04-05T00:36:21.255-04:00I've had kitties all over the sleeping spectru...I've had kitties all over the sleeping spectrum. At this point Smoky has to sleep with me - when it's really cold I have to relocate him to the foot of the bed several times per night or else I can't move, but the rest of the year he sleeps happily in the corner of the bed. He does require a few minutes of under the covers snuggling every morning before I get up.

Jasper, on the other hand doesn't want any part of the bedroom. He'll occasionally snuggle with his brother on the bed, but it never lasts more than a few minutes. He prefers either his heated cubby or his cat bed - which I always tuck nicely against the recliner before I go to bed, and which he always moves back to the middle of the living room floor by morning. Go figure!

And if you're allergic, keeping them out of the bedroom is definitely a good idea!EcoCatLadyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15704811319510740473noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6315851262843522940.post-62994772417823832872016-04-05T00:27:41.105-04:002016-04-05T00:27:41.105-04:00Ohhhhh, I love that story. Our dogs always had their own beds and actually like d sleeping in them (or on the couch until they heard the bedroom door open) If we allowed Shelby (current dog) on the bed we are pretty sure she would stretch her full nose to tail length (about 6 feet) crossways on the bed so we would have no where to go.
Right now she is staring at me so she probably knows I am writing about her. Samantha was the name ...Awww... what a sweet story. Samantha was the name of my first cat too, and she was absolutely named after the character in Bewitched! She won all of her battles too - I was only 5 when we got her, and didn't quite understand the difference between a cat and a teddy bear, and I still have the scars from her attempts to discipline me! Unlike you, I did everything I could think of to lure her into my bedroom at night, but she only slept with me on very rare occasions. I can still remember trying to keep perfectly still on the few times when she jumped up on my bed so as not to disturb her.EcoCatLadyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15704811319510740473noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6315851262843522940.post-972577229652451622016-04-04T13:27:03.715-04:002016-04-04T13:27:03.715-04:00June - Do you have any photos of "Teddy?"...June - Do you have any photos of "Teddy?"
