A is for April and the A-Z Challenge

Welcome to the exciting month of April when I'm once again participating in the Blogging from A-Z Challenge. This challenge asks you post every day in April, except Sundays, with each post corresponding to a different letter of the alphabet. Except Sunday, you say, "Isn't today Sunday?" Well yes it is, but that's what happens when April happens to have five Sundays.
I've done this a couple of times in the past, 2015 and 2016, but didn't participate in 2017 because, quite frankly, it's exhausting. Posting every day with constraints is definitely a challenge for me, but I'd thought I'd give it a try this year to see if it would help me to get into the habit of blogging more regularly. The old hands at this challenge already have most if not all of their posts ready to go. But not me. I've been doing well enough to get a post out every week or so. Planning ahead just hasn't been in my schedule. So follow along as I scramble this month to post every day with a different letter of the alphabet.

As you know, today is also Easter, so my blogging time is up. Time to work on getting ready for Easter dinner which is at my house this year. See you tomorrow with the letter B

Happy Easter!

An Easter card I found in my Mother's things that I made in third grade.

  1. Wow, if you were ever to get a free pass on the A-Z challenge, I would think it would be when you have a bunch of people coming to your home! Good for you for getting out a post! Looking forward to the rest of the month.

    1. The crowd just left. We had a very nice time and plan to have a relaxing evening. The dishwasher is running, Ward is working a puzzle, and I'm checking blogs soon the go to the couch and have a cat sit on my lap. All is good.

  2. I'm impressed. I did the challenge once, and I think once was enough for me. Actually, what really did me in was trying to visit and keep up with so many other blogs doing the challenge. I suppose one could skip that part, but, of course, I felt too guilty to do that. Anyhow, I look forward to hearing from you more often! Happy Easter to you and yours!

    1. Checking out other blogs does take a lot of time and definitely adds to the stress. But I'm going to try to not make this a stressful activity. We'll see how I do.

    1. The rest of the evening was nice, too. The best thing is that we got most everything cleaned up and we woke up to a clean kitchen this morning. :)

    1. Right now, I'm excited by the challenge (sort of). We'll see how it goes. Along about K, I may be saying that Anne was the smart one in not joining me.

  6. I haven't participated in the challenge for 6 years now. If it is one thing or another in addition it is obvious if you follow my blog that I'm not persistent writing posts. I just don't have the discipline I guess. But do know that I will be reading yours as always :)

    1. You have a lot of other things that get in the way of writing posts on your blog. I hope the fact that I'm hearing from you now means that things are relatively stable for you at this point.

Since you have done the A-Z challenge, you know that it can be both fun and tiring.
