A Second Look--September 20, 2016

I couldn't let another week go by without doing a Second Look, so I did an abbreviated one this week--meaning I looked around on my way to the mailbox. As you know, things are very busy around here as we orchestrate a move. And if the truth be told, I don't want to deal with the warranty on the air conditioner, the leak in the garage, or tile for the new bathroom. I'd rather be discovering my new yard and transferring some of the things from this yard. Soon enough that will happen. I just have to remember to appreciate the nature around me wherever I am. It really does ground me.

Here are a few things I saw this week
during a Second Look.

  1. Your fourth picture is a really neat perspective. Love it!

Being outside in nature is grounding for me, too. I think it's a good choice to take a brief break from all the change in your life to appreciate the world around you. :)

    1. It's hard to pull away from everything that is shouting at me to be done, but I need to remember to keep in touch with the outdoors. It makes me happy.

  2. They are beautiful as usual! I am partial to zinnias, maybe because they will actually grow for me!

    1. While I have always appreciated zinnias, this is the first year I've planted them. And I will do it again. They have grown very well through various weather conditions.

  3. Beautiful photos again! These posts are such a good reminder that we all need to take some time to "smell the roses."

    1. These posts have been the best thing about this blog. I've gotten a lot of pleasure from them and learned a lot at that same time.

    1. I'm busy, so you can do it tomorrow between your kitten feedings. :)

  5. I can't believe that with everything on your plate you still have the time to sit down and put a post together. That said I'm glad because there isn't much blooming here except my mums.
