We're Home

After a successful surgery, Ward is home now.

Thanks to everyone for their positive thoughts and messages. As you know, they really do make a difference.

After I rest up a bit, I'll talk with you again.

    1. Thanks, Lili. We're not quite to the rest stage yet, but Theo is here to help out, so things are under control.

  2. So glad you're both home and the surgery was successful. Take it easy, we're not going anywhere. ((hugs)) and warm wishes for a prompt recovery... by both parties!

    1. Thanks, Nathalie. I may try to write a post as an experiment. It could be pretty interesting because I'm not doing very clear thinking at this point.

    1. Yes, the happy part is that it is over. Anticipation is always difficult. Unless, of course, it's anticipation of something good like Christmas. Then it is a lot of fun.

    1. Thanks Cat. The challenge now is to keep the cats from jumping on him. We've solved that by feeding them more times than they should be fed. Not necessarily a good solution, but it's working and no one is complaining.

    2. Ha! Oh the challenges of cat ownership. CatMan has problems with his back, making it difficult for him to do things like bend over and pick things up - like, ahem, cats. However his cat LOVES to steal his desk chair if he gets up to do something. After throwing his back out about half a dozen times moving the cat, he finally constructed a triangular cardboard wedge, and every time he gets up he has to put the cardboard thing in his chair to keep the cat from stealing it.

Maybe Ward needs some sort of human "cone of shame" designed to keep the cats off of him. Could be interesting depending on exactly which section of anatomy you want to keep them from jumping on! :-)

Keeping you in my thoughts... xoxoxo
