U is for Use it Up

This cold has knocked me for a loop and I don't seem to able to write many coherent thoughts. Today was first going to be Unexpected results, then Underwear, then an Update. But after three attempts with only a few words and a lot of screen staring, I decided it was best to go the simple way and share with you one of my favorite sayings on a cross stitch I did several years ago.

I am going to finish this A-Z Challenge one way or another. Only five more letters ago and time to look around at what else I can take a picture of because we all know, "A picture is worth a thousand words."

  1. What a beautiful cross stitch picture! Love that saying.

    1. I thought it was very pretty also. Besides that saying, that's why I did it.

  2. You can do it! I'm hoping that at some point in the future you'll treat us to an Unexpected Underwear Update! :-)

    1. I actually do have some stories to tell about Unexpected Underwear now that you mention it. I'll have to keep that in mind for when my inhibitions are down and I'm ready to talk about my underwear.

  3. I've got an unexpected underwear story for you, short and sweet. Moving into my new house I looked out at the small porch with the overgrown evergreens and spotted a pair of mens underwear hanging in the branches. The house hadn't been lived in for a few years so how they came to be there is anyone's guess.

I too am getting bogged down with the A-Z challenge and can't wait for it to be over. Just a couple letters to go... I don't think I will do this again next year, how about you?

    1. So many thoughts as to how the underwear got in that tree. Maybe when you get to spend more time outside as the weather warms up, you'll get some more clues. You'll have to let us know.

I don't know if I will do the challenge next year or not. Probably not. I like the idea of the challenge, but it's just too intense. Something like a 6 month challenge where you have a different letter every week instead of every day would be better for me.

  4. I 've been having trouble with the last few letters. I was thinking unicorn, utopia etc but I had to clue what to write about them. LOL! We're almost there WHEW!

    1. WHEW! When I saw that at the end of your comment, I thought, "What can I write about that for W?" Good luck down this home stretch.

  5. I hope you get over that cold too, and as for the underwear in the tree, wow, was there a tornado in your area, Lois, or high winds that could have deposited such decor?

    1. I hadn't even thought of the high wind possibility to get the underwear in the tree. I thought more about someone tossing it up there while they were doing what? That's another question.

  6. Those of you having trouble with the letter U do not live in Alabama. We have had over 9 inches of rain so far this month. If I were doing the challenge U would be Umbrella and how many times this month I have been caught without one. Not as good as unexpected underwear would be.

    1. Wow! I didn't realize that you had gotten that much rain. Too bad I didn't ask you to be a guest blogger. Do you have anything else for any of the remaining letters? :)
