Thankful Monday

I am thankful to be home.

And yet another cat picture. The cats were also thankful I was home.
After two different trips to visit ill family members, I am glad to be home. While the trips were good, there is no place like home. And for that I am thankful.

  1. There is no such thing as too many cat pictures!

I'm glad you had good, safe travels. Hope your ill family members are doing ok. Welcome back!

    1. I knew I had crossed some kind of line when I started to take more pictures of my cats than my kids. :)

  3. Oh... the sweetness of a kitty in a shopping bag. I'm so sorry you're dealing with so much on the family front. I hope things resolve in a happy way soon. xoxoxo -Cat

    1. Unfortunately, there are no happy endings in all of these situations except to celebrate lives that have been well lived.

    2. I seem to be experiencing that a lot myself these days - perhaps we're just at that age. On my bad days I look to the future and see nothing but an endless trail of hospice visits and funerals, but it helps me to try to stay in the moment and remember that "now" is all any of us ever really has. Sending you big hugs.

  4. So glad you got to celebrate! Sometimes we get s caught up in the process of the end that we forget to celebrate the life. We are in a similar situation with my dad right now My sister and I have agreed we will not do any advance mourning, but will remain laughing and enjoying what time we have left.

    1. As I have mentioned before here, I have an incredible sister-in-law is celebrating what is left of her life making it easier for the rest of us.
