Today...

Today, I'm going to jump right in and have fun.

Miss Lander's dog, Hans, jumped right in the water even though it was cold. He knows how not to worry about things and have fun.

Today...

I'm going to wrap presents without organizing them first.

I'm going to go for a walk even if it's raining.

I'm going to have a peanut butter sandwich with pickles.

I'm going to put up our tree and watch the cats play with it.

I'm going to go shopping and smile.

What are you doing today?

  1. Today is my daughters' first day of winter break, so first off, I slept in! Woo hoo! Extra sleep!

Then we'll have our tree trimming party this evening, so I'll make some snacky foods, and probably make my mom's Swedish Christmas cookies. I haven't made them in years, but bought a new iron for them this summer as my vacation souvenir. Hope I don't set the kitchen on fire -- they're deep-fried.

And I'll pick up the house. Everything has just piled up over the last several weeks.

So some exciting, some not so exciting stuff to do today. Sounds like your day will be pleasant!

    1. Winter break starting now? Will they be off until the beginning of January?

  2. I want to trade days with you. Saturdays have turned into my cleaning days and days I work on projects around the house. The cats alone with the tree would make a day!

    1. They were all very curious about the tree. It was interesting that they came in one at a time to investigate. Judging from years past, under it will be their new favorite place to sleep.

  3. I'm coming to this late but I can report that I have been for a walk and found lots of holly, pine, and ivy; have watched my kids in their end of term music academy show; have made soup, rolls and pizza; and have watched It's a Wonderful Life. Writing it down, it's been more productive than it seemed! Like you, I had planned to wrap some gifts and get the tree up, but those jobs have rolled over to tomorrow!

    1. Sounds like you had a good day. I had a good day and did some of the things I had hoped to, but some will be rolled over until tomorrow like gift wrapping.

    1. It was a busy and successful day. I didn't do everything as planned, but I did go shopping with a smile, put up the tree and watch the cats investigate it.
